Dee Woodson, design director and founder of
Woodson
Dee-zign Group masterminded her dream of
being a
designer, by studying at Oakwood
College, in Huntsville, Alabama, and then
graduating from the Fashion Institute of Design
and Merchandising in Los Angeles, California.
The La Jolla resident opened Woodson Dee-zign
Group in 1987 immediately after graduating from
college. It caters to high-end residences and
churches, and designs backdrops and sets for
performances. Woodson's masterpieces appear in
Tamarind, Berean, Normandie Ave. and University
Seventh-day Adventist churches and many upscale
businesses and residences. Woodson is
responsible for decorating the interiors of
Young and the Restless' star, Alexis Thorpe's
Brentwood California home, and Indiana Pacer
point guard, Tyus Edney's Northridge, California
home.
